The way the Beholder explains it faye keeps their reincarnation. Hence regardless they retain no memories of their previous life this way are Reborn. With Hayase's generations they retain a lot of her insanity and obsession with pretty much wanting to own marry and produce children with Fushi and that's how it'll be ongoing even when they lose knowledge of the past with Hayase even though the cult remains. Other then people like the Beholder can reincarnate as example Pioran was granted to be something useful for Fushi which well you'll see... Also not everyone reincarnates either. People who were okay moving on to the afterlife won't. This is kind of the rules of it in this story.

Tonari was poisoned constantly by her hawk when she was little without knowing as it's claws injected a poison and she slowly gained immunity. She then was poisoned as kid by Hayase on the prison island arc and survived becoming stronger against poisons and realizing her own ability and hence used it to become useful for Fushi if she ever met him again while helping those who were getting hit by the knokkers. You already know how Fushi works so does Tonari. Though Tonari isn't like Hayase. Hayase's obsession is essentially like freakish desire of having a child with a god and owning him. Tonari was a close companion and friend who helps Fushi and kept her attraction to herself.

I just want to cut that thing on her arm I just want to remove it so badly
